Montclar de Berguedà is located in the region of Berguedà, 17 km far from Berga.
You can go through the road of Manresa to Berga, the C-16, once you arrive in Gironella, there is an indicator where it lets you know the direction Casserres (exit 88), you need to take a detour which drives you to the outskirts of Cassarres, there the direction to Montclair and la Espanyola is indicated. Between the kilometers 4 and 3, on the left hand, there is a detour to Montclar.
Montclar de Berguedà is located in the same mountain chain, on a hill with good panoramic views to the West, where the gully of the stream of Montclar or of Navel is opened. Most of the houses are previous to 1700 and are located around a very typical square. Of its old fort there are testifies in the big house named “The Castle”, in front of the church, in the highest part. The church is Romanesque (XII century) with modifications in the XVII and XVIII centuries. The region is famous by its mushrooms.
